ACUMEN : BEYOND MOUNTAINS.

WE CAN AND WILL NOT BE LEFT BEHIND.
A little candle can enlighten a dark house. Let us keep our torch alight and wake up ready to take prompt action. It is a type of sunshine that will complete our compelling vision.

identifying some niches and converting them into opportunities.

There are many niches and opportunities to be explored.
• The current banking system in the Congo is maladjusted and ineffective.
• No support is available from lenders, whose interest rates are extremely high due to the risks and operational expenses related to small-scale loans.

Oceans are made of little water drops. Yet, a piece of rock thrown in the river will produce many ripples. Our bank will fund enterprises such as a soap factory, a factory for cotton, a plant oil mill, industrial fishing, and others that will be launched across the country and the region.

The crux of our vision starts with early risk identification, mitigation, and monitoring.

We free entrepreneurs from the financial tyranny that blocks them. Among other things, we encourage women to leverage ethical businesses and wealth creation. In order to achieve such a holistic mission, we distill lessons from talented, committed, and visionary individuals.

THE FRAMEWORK
"The person who knows "how" will always have a job." The person who knows "why" will always be his boss. Diane Ravitch.

The DRC is the epitome of the contradiction between available business opportunities and poverty.
• Despite its tremendous potential in natural and human resources, the DRC experiences endemic, escalating poverty: chronic famines, diseases, and epidemics linked to bad, poor, and insufficient food; poor infrastructure; very limited access to electricity and clean water; etc.; and unemployment.
• In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, small miners and farmers are in great need of the means to develop their sectors.

PROMOTING CULTURE
Culture can make or break a company. In order to maintain good values and reputation, we have a clear policy and priorities: selection and hiring; being aware of rumors and unintentional remarks; how to attract, retain, and grow professionals; and encouraging colleagues, stakeholders, and visitors to give feedback about what they like and don't like about our culture and how they interpret our organization’s values.

BACKGROUND.

The CCBD proposal is initiated and developed by people from the roots who speak the local dialect and understand the local culture, as well as the culture of the partners involved. It is an investment that will easily pay for itself.

WEALTH AND EMPLOYMENT

"It is a big shame to be happy alone." Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
We foster programs aimed at job creation. It is the most visible way to eradicate hunger and poverty. Despite its tremendous potential in natural and human resources, the DRC experiences endemic, escalating poverty and unemployment.

Nations long for full employment and the eradication of poverty. Despite the efforts made by philanthropists and developed countries to alleviate poverty and help poor countries end their growing poverty, these programs have generated many ill effects, resulting in emigration when people try to escape misery in their homelands.

DEPENDENCE VS. POVERTY

"A debt is the first stage of bondage." "A creditor is worse than a master because a master only owns your person, but a creditor owns your dignity and can slap it." Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

Today, despite reforms and the collapse of some infrastructure and the economy, poverty has skyrocketed, wreaking havoc on malnutrition.

B. Nyembo is exploring an artisanal cobalt miner in Kabamba, near Kolwezi, Katanga, in the DRC.
Give them access to finance, more opportunities, and the necessary information, and the result will be amazing.

Poverty in less-developed countries (LDCs) threatens the entire world, including the banking industry. It knows no borders. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that all countries—rich and poor—change their minds, find new ways to shift, and enhance business in poor countries with new perspectives and new paradigms.

The time has come for NGOs, churches, and the international community to rethink their missions in LDCs. Banks and financial institutions have a key role in this process.
Launching a cooperative bank is the cornerstone and an incentive for job creation in the rural zones in order to settle the community, thereby limiting the immigration of youth to big cities and to the Western World, which results in harmful consequences.

Population Growth and the Diaspora

In its publication of October 2, 2013, the Institut français d’études démographiques (INED) indicates that:
• By the year 2050, the world population will reach 9.733 billion inhabitants.
• The level of 6 billion was reached in 1999, yet it took only 12 years to reach 7 billion in 2011.
• Today, the world population is 7.141 billion.
• In 2050, the DRC will become the 9th most populated country on the planet, with 182 million inhabitants.
